Starting to catch up...

The past three and a half weeks have been pure craziness! In short, Piper was discharged from the hospital and finally came home!! Cooper and I are learning how to actually be parents day in and day out now. In the meantime, although I have been very bad about documenting these accomplishments here, Cooper has been wonderful about at least taking pictures of each stage for memories sake. :) More to come!

He popped the question...

and I said YES!!

Our Story

Cooper and I met in January 2006 when I went to meet an old friend (Chris) downtown. Cooper and Chris were also good friends and just happened to be together that night as well. As soon as I saw Cooper I thought he was adorable! :) I think my exact words were, "Chris, your friend is so hot!" We talked all night and luckily for me, Chris, Cooper and myself also hung out the next night. At the end of the weekend, Cooper asked for my number and thank goodness that he did! Our first official date was on Valentine's Day 2006. I was sitting at home eating chocolate and watching "You've Got Mail" (I was under the impression I did not have a date that year) and all of a sudden, Cooper appears with roses and asked me to be his valentine:) Well, the rest is pretty much history...we dated until March 2007 , at which time Cooper proposed at the SC Aquarium. Of course, the most amazing Christmas wedding and Hawaiian honeymoon followed! I am so thankful for that random meeting we had back in January 2006...it truly changed my life and I wouldn't want it any other way!

Cooper, I love you more and more everyday and I love being your wife! You are an amazing husband and already a great daddy! Thank you for asking me to spend the rest of my life with you...

In Love with BananaFish!!

I am so so so so happy right now!! As I was perusing Target's website trying desperately to find a new bedding set for the nursery (as my first choice was discontinued), I came across the Banafish Lily Bedding Collection and fell in LOVE!

I feel very behind on the whole decorating thing, as I literally haven't purchased ANYTHING for the nursery!! I do have my excuses...the biggest being that we are hopefully moving soon and I figure it's only practical to wait until we are moved before I begin decorating the nursery...but, I just couldn't contain myself when I found this adorable bedding and had to go ahead and order the bumper and crib skirt (reviews say it takes awhile to arrive)....so, here is a quick look at what the crib will *hopefully* look like once I really start assembling the nursery!!

Hi everyone!!

With the arrival of our first little bundle of joy quickly approaching, I've decided to begin documenting the day to day craziness we call life, in an attempt to a)have something to look back on once our baby girl is all grown up and b)to have an easy way for our friends and families to stay in touch! I can't promise I'll become an expert blogger, but I figure that with a little practice and a lot of patience, eventually I'll get the hang of all of this technology!
